Shoes and Cocktails

The Manolo is featuring these. Aren't they adorable? Manolo suggests that they would be perfect for an intimate cocktail party with friends and I agree.

I picture myself wearing these with a like-colored spaghetti strapped knee length cocktail dress.

Now if this were in the right color it would be perfect! I think the fringe on the hem would be wonderful with the pom-poms on the shoes.

Here are the same shoes in black to match this dress... I still prefer the blue though.

Another fabulous dress!

Isn't this one fabulous! It makes me think of driving a convertible, and old one from the `50s, in Malibu or Palm Beach or someplace like that, spending a sunny afternoon with my best friend.

You know, the fifties produced some of the most amazingly gorgeous clothes, both women's and men's. The men's clothes, even the work clothes, were much snazzier. And there were dresses like this to wear. Why can't we have this sort of style today?

I like these. I don't have much to say about them other than that.

These are just not right

I like wedges, but wedges should be summery and casual, not formal. Wedges don't go with a prom dress. These are just wrong. They're too chunky. Dressy shoes should be light and delicate.

I don't know why...

...I like this dress, but I do. It calls to me somehow and says "Wear me on a lazy Sunday when you've nothing to do but lay around the house and yard."

Do you see a problem here?
